I know, I know- a little bit early. But I resigned from my job this past week and needed a little bit of a pick-me-up and Christmas shopping always does that for me. I absolutely despise shopping in crowded stores during the holiday season so I do 100% of my shopping online. I was given the opportunity to try out Cybermonday.com (a one-stop shop for the best Cyber Monday promotions), which features it’s own curated gift guides. I figured it’d be fun to do something similar and give you guys some ideas for stocking stuffers for beauty lovers.
Despite the name, the site features deals and savings from many, many retailers not only on Cyber Monday, but all year long. They collect coupon codes, limited time offers and special savings opportunities from over 800 online stores and you’re able to view them all in one convenient location….plus, you can easily see what similar sites have the better deals at the moment- Ulta or Sephora? It’s really easy to use, too- for example, when you click on the Sephora logo on the homepage, you receive a red pop up where you can click to go to the Sephora website, OR you can browse all of the different offers that Sephora has going on right now.
Here are a few things I picked out that I think would make great stocking stuffers:
Personally, I have a major candle problem. And I know a lot of people who do as well (whether they’re too ashamed to admit it or not), which makes them great gifts. Bath & Body works was offering a deal for 2 medium candles for $20 or 3 small ones for $12, so I took advantage of both to get a variety of scents! With how good these smell, I’m not sure they’ll make it into anyone’s stocking, though…(so maybe these are actually not a good stocking stuffer idea, LOL)
EOS Hand Lotions & Lip Balms
Another couple of products everyone seems to love! These balms are convenient and feel really nice to apply to the lips (is it the shape? the formula? I don’t know but I love them) and the lotion is in a convenient package to just toss in your purse. These are always pretty cheap to begin with and Ulta was having some additional deals so I had to grab some.
Any brand is good but Ulta had a great buy 2 get 1 free sale going on these so I picked up a hairspray, dry shampoo and a hair mask from Tigi. Nearly everyone uses some sort of hair products, and hair masks are great even for those like myself who don’t typically do anything but airdry and brush their hair (occasionally….). You can also find travel sized bottles of a lot of these products that work well for stocking stuffers!
Individual Deep Treatments For Hair
Piggybacking off of the hair products, these single-use hair treatments from Marc Anthony are nice and cheap, meaning you can grab a variety for someone to try out!
The Body Shop Tea Tree Face Mask & Skin Clearing Facial Wash
You can probably tell by now that I’m really big on bath & body products for stocking stuffers! I think they’re just a great way to give a special someone little moments of luxury after all the stress leading up to the holidays. Slapping on a nice face mask forces me to take a few moments of zen (and it’s always fun to scare the dog and/or boyfriend while wearing a colored one, too).
The last step in a nice relaxing evening! If you know the person you’re shopping for has a bathtub, you definitely can’t go wrong with bubble bath! I also like buying fancy soaps or bath bombs for stocking stuffers.
I’m sure you guys already know this but of course nail polish makes an excellent stocking stuffer! The Zoya matte collections are usually always a hit with people and the new Winter 2015 Matte Velvet collection consists of six great shades for the holidays.
In addition to hundreds of special offers (some of which will be exclusive promotions available only on the site) CyberMonday.com will be featuring a Deal of the Hour on its front page on Black Friday and Cyber Monday highlighting a different retail promotion every 60 minutes. Offers will include free shipping, dollars off, percentages off, and free gifts with purchase at some of your favorite stores. You can also sign up at the bottom of the site for email alerts for some of the best sales.
What was the best stocking stuffer you ever received (or gave)? One year our parents actually bought coal and put it in our stockings. AND hid all of our presents. Many salty tears were had that morning until it was revealed we hadn’t actually been put on the naughty list. Let me know your stories in the comments!
