It’s always exciting to see the newest KBShimmer collections- the brand is the most popular indie out there for a reason! The collections are always unique, cohesive and with great formulas. I’m a big fan of her fall collections particularly and I have the newest one to share with you today (along with some other new products)!
The KBShimmer Fall 2015 collection releases on her website on September 15th and includes a few more shades than what I have to show you here. I used Clearly On Top top coat for the photos below. Let’s take a look!
KBShimmer I Feel Gourd-geous is described as a coppery champagne color holographic polish that shines in the light. Three coats. The formula was great, a lot of microglitter polishes can be on the thicker side but this one was perfection!
KBShimmer I’ve Seen Sweater Days is described as a muted teal crelly with pops of cobalt blue glitter, lime green holo glitters and sliver glitters. Three coats. The formula was great, not too thick or thin and it had a great glitter density.
KBShimmer Open Toad Shoes is described as a soft olive green crelly with pops of navy, burgundy, and chartreuse glitters and hints of holographic shimmer. Two coats. The formula was great, it had a good consistency and glitter density. SO PRETTY. I love the mix of colors in this- I wasn’t sure I was going to like it but I was so wrong.
KBShimmer Such A Vlad-Ass is described as a deepened blood red cream with a slight blue undertone. Two coats. The formula was great, not too thick or thin. LOVE this. I feel like a kickass vampire.
KBShimmer Teal It To My Heart is described as a strongly pigment teal polish. I did two coats out of habit but this could have easily been a one coater. The formula was thick but in the way that makes it easy to apply and have it go where you want it, not gloopy at all. So, so in love with this. The perfect “fall” teal!
KBShimmer Carpe Denim is described as a navy jelly polish loaded with small silver holographic glitters. Two coats. The formula was a bit thick but manageable and nicely glitter dense. This is like the night sky!
KBShimmer also recently released a new product called mani shots! Similar to the mani bombs, fizzies, etc we’ve seen recently, you use these by filling a bowl with warm water, dropping it in + then letting your hand soak. They’re filled with cocoa and shea butter, jojoba oil and pure olive oil to really moisturize your hands (or feet if you prefer).
I generally prefer oil-heavy mani bombs but I know not everyone does- these were a bit lighter on the oil than most but you do get a decent amount hanging on the surface of the water so my hands were still nicely moisturized by the end of the soak. Check out a video of this fizzing away here!
Rainbow Nail Tools
Another new product from KBShimmer is a set of rainbow nail tools! I received the cuticle nippers (I don’t actually cut my cuticles but I like using these to cut hangnails) and they look so cool! A great addition to any polish addict’s collection.
Water Slide Decals
I’ll show you these more in depth when I use them, but water slide decals are used kind of like temporary tattoos. You soak them in water, slide them onto your nail & then add top coat to seal them in. You can cut them to fit better if you want, too. I’ve actually never used water slide decals before so I’m excited to try them out!
Overall, I think KBShimmer knocked it out of the park again- I truly look forward to her fall collection each year and it never disappoints. Again, this collection releases in her shop on September 15th if you want to pick any of these up for yourself.
What do you think about this collection? Which shade is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
