I’m lucky enough to have an indie maker local to me, as you guys probably know at this point- Anonymous Lacquer is just down the road! (I always feel the need to make that disclaimer when I review her stuff- but her being local to me doesn’t influence my reviews and she’s always stressed that I be totally honest with her.) When I came home from work the other day there was a glittery package of awesomeness waiting outside for me- her newest collection for fall!
The Anonymous Lacquer The Brother Hood Series collection consists of five shades inspired by the Black Dagger Brotherhood book series and will be available in her shop on 09/18. I used Out The Door top coat for the photos below. Let’s take a look!
Anonymous Lacquer Scribe Virgin is a white holo with shimmer. Four coats. The formula was pretty typical for a white- sheer and streaky on the first coat but evens out with each additional coat. It was still not 100% even for me at four coats but I have pretty terrible nails to begin with so if you have nice smooth nails 3-4 should be enough. You can also layer it over a white base if you prefer using less coats.
Anonymous Lacquer Wrath is a red holo. Two coats but could be a careful one-coater. The formula was really good, not too thick or too thin. This is even more holo in person- was hard to capture it on camera!
Anonymous Lacquer Mine is a purple holo polish with flakies. Two coats. The formula was great, not too thick or too thin. This one was my favorite for sure!
Anonymous Lacquer Omega is a charcoal grey/black holo. Two coats. The formula was good, a little patchy on the first coat but by the second it evens out nicely.
Anonymous Lacquer Black Dagger is a grey holo microglitter polish. Three coats. The formula was good, not too thick or thin and sheer on the first coat but builds up easily. This was my second favorite, it’s very unique!
Overall, this collection totally has me ready for fall and wearing dark, vampy shades. Again, this collection will be available in her shop on 09/18 if you’d like to pick any of them up for yourself!
What do you think about this collection? Have you tried anything from Anonymous Lacquer before? Let me know in the comments!
