Fall & Winter are my favorite polish ‘seasons’ and Zoya typically knocks it out of the park with their fall collections, so I was excited to hear about the release of their Focus & Flair collections for fall 2015 recently. I’ll be showing you the Focus collection now and the Flair collection soon.
The Zoya Focus collection is described as six strong, solid shades that anchor a look for fall as stand-alone shades. I used Out The Door top coat for the photos below. Let’s take a look!
Zoya Charli is described as a dusty taupe cream with a hint of green, a perfect neutral. Two coats out of habit but this was easily a one coater. The formula was a little on the thin side but not too bad, just don’t overload the brush and you won’t have any cuticle flooding. I wasn’t expecting this one to be a favorite but it really surprised me! Very unique shade.
Zoya Desiree is described as a classic sable brown cream that has just enough gray to keep it cool in tone. Two coats but nearly a one coater. The formula was on the thin side so just be care not to flood your cuticles.
Zoya Hannah is described as a clear, classic red cream with a balanced (neutral) undertone. Two coats but could potentially be a careful one coater. The formula was great, thicker than the others but still easy to apply.
Zoya Janel is described as a deep red cream with a rich warm undertone. Two coats. The formula was good, not as thin as some of the others which was nice.
Zoya Lidia is described as a rich eggplant cream with a blackened purple base and just a hint of red resulting in a color that is wearable for most skin tones. Two coats. The formula was good, a little thin but not too bad. I’m a fan of any purple so this was another favorite for sure. It does have a bit of a skunky smell but it faded pretty quickly. A smidgen more red-purple in person.
Zoya Sia is described as a true, royal blue cream. I did two coats but this could be a one coater. The formula was a little thin. I love Sia’s music so I was happy to see this one’s name!
Overall, although it’s not the most unique collection from Zoya, I think these are all solid colors and with their nice opacity, they’ll definitely get a lot of wear from me this fall. I do with they hadn’t doubled up on reds, though. This collection is available now if you’d like to pick any of these up for yourself. I’m also working on comparisons to older Zoya shades so those will be up on Dupe Or No Dupe shortly.
What do you think of this collection? Which shade is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
