If you’ve been into nails and nail care for any length of time, you’ve probably heard that glass files are the way to go. They take length down while filing way faster than an emery board, tear up the layers of your nail less and last much longer.
Unfortunately, there’s also a pretty wide variety of quality when it comes to glass files. Many are simply coated and not etched and barely last beyond a few uses once the coating wears down. Enter Mont Bleu- this company is based in the Czech Republic and has gained a reputation for some of the highest quality glass/crystal files on the market.
In addition to crystal files that are functional, they also offer a wide selection of colors (some even with handpainted designs) and many of their files (or other beauty products they sell) come adorned with Swarovski crystals. I recently received two of their files to review.
The crystal files come in a nice velvet sleeve that’s soft to the touch. The file itself feels nice when holding it, light but strong. The gradient is a nice effect and the crystals add a gorgeous touch. It works quite well, too- taking down length easily and quickly without leaving ragged edges.
Overall, these are now my favorite crystal files in my collection and I know I’ll be getting a ton of use out of them! If you’d like to pick up one for yourself, you can check out their website here.
What do you think of these files? Have you ever tried this brand before? Let me know in the comments!
