You guys already know that if there’s one thing I love more than nail polish, it’s bath & body products- particularly bath & body products of the indie variety. So, I was excited to try a new brand when this delightful box from Doc Loody’s showed up at my doorstep!

Doc Loody's Scrumdiddlyumptious Beauty Box Review

The Doc Loody’s Scrumdiddlyumptious Beauty Box consists of seven Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory-themed items and will be released in the Doc Loody’s shop on August 1st. It will retail for $34.95 but you can also purchase any of the products individually (I listed those prices with each product). Let’s take a look at what all is in the box:

Golden Ticket Bubble Bar

If you haven’t ever used a bubble bar, basically you just break off a chunk (how much depends on how many bubbles you want) and crumble it under running water. Unfortunately this one cracked in the mail which is a bummer because it would have looked so cute whole! Of course, it still works the same since you break off a part of it anyway! The Golden Ticket Bubble Bar has notes of West Sandalwood and Ylang Ylang- smells really wonderful!

Dubble Bubble Bubble Bar

You use this one the same way as the first one- and how cute is this?? I love the colors and swirls together so much! This bubble bar is scented with grapefruit, vanilla and eucalyptus essential oils. I just sat at my desk breathing this in for awhile- it smells SO good! I broke this bar in half when I used it and it created a TON of bubbles and made the water smell so amazing. Probably my favorite product from the box!

Oompa Loofah Goats Milk Soap

I’ve never used a goats milk soap before but I was excited to try this out- goats milk soap is wonderful for people with dry or sensitive skin and I fall under both these categories. This has a light and fresh scent of juniper berry and lemon. I found that it lathered up nicely, felt super smooth and nice on my skin while using it and throughout the day my skin felt more moisturized than usual. Definitely will be using this often!

Oompa Loofah

This loofah is designed to hold the soap (what a fantastic idea! I can never find a good spot to keep mine in the shower and also always drop it, haha) and I’m loving the name.

Hot Fudge Lip Scrub

This is 100% pure cocoa which is an all natural lip exfoliator. I love the packaging, most lip scrubs I’ve used are in small tubs and I hate having to dig the product out, this is much more hygenic. Apply to your lips, scrub and then wipe it off (I used a wet washcloth). This felt smooth on the lips and slightly exfoliating but not a ton- would probably be best for those with sensitive skin on their lips who need a gentle exfoliator. My lips did feel nicely smooth after using it, though!

Chocolate Drizzled Snozzberry Mani Candy

For mani candies, you fill a small bowl with warm water, drop one in and soak your hands for 10-15 minutes, then pat dry with a towel. These Chocolate Drizzled Snozzberry Mani Candies are infused with dried raspberries, orange peel, rosehips, lemon essential oil and a coconut and jojoba oil blend. They’re also drizzled with a sweet chocolate covered vanilla scented glycerin soap- I love that extra touch to make them look like real candy!

You can check out a video of me using one here. I found the mani candy to be on the lighter side oil-wise (I usually prefer a more oil-heavy mixture but I know everyone has different tastes!) and definitely nice and foamy- it did feel super soft and nice on my hands!

Gummy Bear Duo Mani Candy

These are inspired by the huge gummy bear tree in the first scene of the chocolate factory! These both have jojoba, coconut oil along with vitamin E and are bubbly, so you’ll want to use a larger mani bowl! The yellow gummy bear has a lemon and tee tree oil scent and the orange gummy bear has a sweet orange & patchouli scent.

Overall, I’m beyond in love with this box! There’s a nice variety of products to try from the brand and everything is packaged so cutely- it’d make a great gift! I think these themed variety boxes are such a great way to try out new stuff from a brand and they always make things a little more fun. I do wish there was a bigger discount for buying the entire box vs. buying the individual products- I think it’d give more of an incentive to try all of the products vs. just sticking to what you would usually go for. She did make a note that boxes will have a few additional items added the day of the launch but I’m not certain what they will be.

Again, this box will launch in the Doc Loody’s shop on August 1st if you want to grab one for yourself- make sure to set a reminder! What do you think of this box? Have you tried any indie bath & body yet? Let me know in the comments!
