If you’ve followed my blog for a bit, you know that I love when brands team up to release duos- it’s a great way to be introduced to a new brand! Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer has been releasing monthly Destination Duos and this month is teaming up with one of my top favorite brands- Literary Lacquers!
Each Destination Duo is based on a photo from a trip one of the makers has taken- this month it’s a photo that BEGL took while spending time at St. George’s island in Florida. The duo will come with a set of 10 waterslide decals and will retail for $25 shipped domestically and $22 + shipping for international customers. The duo will be listed in both the BEGL shop and the Literary Lacquers shop and is available now! (I would have had this post up earlier but my package took a detour and I just got it today. Sorry, folks!) I used Out The Door top coat for the photos below. Let’s take a look!
Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Happy Hour At The Blue Parrot is described as a medium sunny orange jelly with purple and copper shimmers. Two coats. The formula was good, on the thicker side but manageable, just give it a little extra dry time between coats.
Literary Lacquers Gulf Coast Twilight is described as a soft dusky twilight purple linear holo with iridescent gold flakies and a touch of orange shimmer. Two coats. The formula was great, thick in the good way that makes it easy to apply but stays exactly where you put it.
Overall, I think these are both so fun and I really want to go watch a pretty summer sunset now. Again, this duo is available now in both the BEGL shop and the Literary Lacquers shop. They typically go pretty fast so I’d recommend grabbing them while they’re up!
What do you think of this duo? Have you every discovered a new favorite brand from a collaboration like this? Let me know in the comments!
