In addition to nail vinyls/decals, Lou It Yourself also has a handmade bath & body line (Treat Yourself) that I was excited to try out some things from! You guys have been asking me to review more bath & body products and it’s definitely my other passion besides nails so this was fun. As soon as I opened this box my nose was hit with SO many amazing scents and I was immediately impressed by the packaging and professional look of everything inside. Let’s take a look at the products!
This idea for nail art is exclusive to her shop and really cool! This adjustible magnetic ring comes with 2 larger sized palettes and three smaller sized palettes that can easily be switched out. You can use this to hold colors while doing freehand nail art or even for glitter placement or nail art charms! I don’t do much/any freehand nail art but I will definitely be using it for charms and studs- I usually set them on my desk before I start and always end up knocking them off or losing them so this is a great alternative.
The palettes can be washed with soap & water if you use acrylic paint on them or with acetone/polish remover if you’re using nail polish.
Zero Thirst Body Lotion
I’ve never been a huge lotion user despite my super dry skin simply because I can’t stand that greasy feeling and residue left over. But after using this lotion, I’m totally a convert to indie lotion! This sinks into the skin quickly and still feels super moisturizing. Once I run out of these I’m definitely going to have to repurchase it in the large bottle!
The Watermelon scent smells awesome, very fruity and delicious! The lilac smells amazing and floral as well. Both have scents that linger when you smell your skin up close but are not overwhelming.
$4.00 for a 2 oz bottle with flip cap | $12 for an 8 oz bottle with pump
Treat Yourself Bath Plunk
This is so adorable with the different colors! The pink lemonade scent makes the water smell good enough to drink (but don’t do that, that’s kinda gross and dangerous). The bath bombs/cupcakes come packaged in a cute brown paper bag with a see-through plastic window that rolls down and closes so you can keep moisture out before using them. This made the water super soft, silky and moisturizing and smelled amazing! You can check out a video of this one in action here.
$4.00 | 4 oz full sized bath bomb
Treat Yourself Bath Cupcake
Is this not the most adorable thing you’ve ever seen? I almost don’t even want to use it, it’s so cute! This works the same as a bath bomb, just drop into a full bath and watch it fizz! The one I received is Gardenia-scented and smells just like a fresh flower, really pleasant.
Treat Yourself Bath Plinks
These are an awesome idea! I usually like using *something* in my bath but don’t always want a huge, oily bath bomb. These are a great alternative to give your bath a little scent and color. These come packaged in small plastic bags with the scent on a sticker on the outside of them.
Lavender– This smells really floral and nice and has lavender buds on top.
Surf’s Up– This one was (unsurprisingly) my favorite! It smells exactly like the ocean and I love how it’s white for the surf, blue for the water and tan for the sand!
Citrus– This has a bright and strong citrus scent which I love.
Strawberry & Champagne– I love how this is pink & white to match the scent theme! This smells lightly of strawberries and also has a light dusting of glitter in it.
Peaches and Cream– This smells incredible, like peach candy! It totally got the song stuck in my head too, haha.
$2.50 | 2 oz small bath bomb for a lightly scented bath
Treat Yourself Mini Mani Plinks
Mini mani plinks are like a bath bomb for your hands! You can use these in a small bowl of water to soak your hands or feet for 10-15 minutes, they have oils that are great for your skin and cuticles. It’s a super nice way to relax, I like using them while watching TV. I’ve used a couple of these so far and I really like the formula of these- they are very oily and feel super moisturizing. These come packaged the same way as the bath plinks. You can check out a video of the blueberry one fizzing away here.
Peaches and Cream– This smells just like the bath plink, very pleasant!
Blueberry– This smelled like blueberry candy to me, so a bit on the sweet and strong side but still very pleasant!
Rose– This smells just like roses (one of my favorite scents) and has beautiful rose petals on top!
Lilac– This smells just like fresh lilac but isn’t overwhelming! I always love lilac scented things- it’s so weird how smell can be tied so strongly to memories. When I was really little there was lilac growing near our house in Minnesota and every time I smell it, it brings those memories right back.
Mocha Latte– The scent on this one is super strong and awesome- when I opened the bag that contained all of these, I smelled coffee right away through all the other scents. This smells AMAZING! I really had to resist the urge to eat it. It was very difficult.
Watermelon– How adorable are the colors of this?! So stinkin’ cute. This smells just like the lotion, very fruity and awesome!
Sweet Tea– As a southern girl, I was all about this scent! It totally does smell like sweet tea and made me thirsty for a nice big glass!
$1.50 | Made for soaking hands or feet
No More Uglicles Cuticle Balm Tubes & Clamshells
You can purchase the cuticle balm either in tubes or clamshell packaging. The balm has a hard consistency that makes it super easy to apply from the tube but melts into your skin with your body heat. It feels nicely moisturizing and not greasy, I really liked it. The scent lingers on your fingers when you smell them up close but it’s overwhelming. She also sent me a prototype of her 100% vegan cuticle balm that I’m testing out- so keep an eye out for that product in the future!
Surf’s Up– This is my favorite scent in ANYTHING that she sent! I need everything in my life to smell like this, seriously. Super fresh and clean smelling.
Smore’s– This & the next one are both new scents to her shop! This mostly smelled like chocolate to me, I’m personally not huge on chocolate scent in bath & body stuff so it wasn’t my personal favorite but I know a lot of people love it!
Cantaloupe– This smells EXACTLY like cantaloupe, it’s a little uncanny! Sweet, fruity and fresh- a great addition.
Lavender– Soft and floral and not at all overpowering, I really liked this one, too.
$3.00 OR $4 as a combo pack with a mini mani plink
I’m A Little Salty Scrub
This is a super oily scrub, the oil forms a layer at the top but easily mixes in when you scoop some out of the jar. The particles are fine but definitely exfoliating and after using the scrub my hands felt smooth and super moisturized. I received this in the lime and green tea scent which was smells amazing- the lime overpowers the tea as far as the scent goes but I love citrus scents so that’s not a bad thing.
$4.00 for a 2 oz jar | $14 for a 16 oz jar
Overall, I was beyond impressed and blown away by all of these products and I strongly encourage you to check the brand out for yourself if this is something you’re interested in. The packaging and overall look of these products was really professional yet still had that handmade touch. Everything is super reasonably priced (some are even underpriced, I’d say!) for indie bath & body products. These products are available for sale in her shop and make sure to check out her polish & nail vinyls while you’re there!
