Smitten Polish is certainly known for making awesome holo polishes- but she really excels at everything she makes and recently branched out into flakies with her newest collection- Opalescent Elements!
The Smitten Polish Opalescent Elements collection consists of four gorgeous traditional iridescent (not metallic) flakie polishes in neon jelly bases. The collection originally released for preorder on April 25th in her shop and will be restocked tomorrow, May 14th at 2 PM Central Time. I used Out The Door top coat for my swatches below. Let’s take a look!
Smitten Polish Ignis Opal is a neon pink flakie jelly. Two coats. The formula was the same for all four of these- smooth, easy to apply and not too thick or too thin. This one was so bright that it freaked my camera completely out- the brush macro shot is the closest to how it looks in person.
Smitten Polish Terra Opal is a neon green flakie jelly. Three coats.
Smitten Polish Aqua Opal is a neon blue flakie jelly. Three coats. This had kind of a weird skunky smell to it but it went away when it dried. I think this one was my favorite- so oceanic and beautiful!
Smitten Polish Aer Opal is a neon purple flakie jelly. Three coats. This was another one that kinda freaked my camera out, the bottle macro and first hand swatch photo are the most color accurate. I loved how fiery this one was!
Overall, I love how squishy these are with such a gorgeous flame within them. We are going to be seeing a LOT of plain neons this summer and I much prefer neons with added flair like these. Remember, these restock tomorrow at 2 PM Central time in her shop if you want some of your own!
What do you think of this collection? Which one of these polishes are your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
