Reverie Nail Lacquer is pretty much the queen of squishy jelly glitter polishes so when I heard that she was going to be putting out a special trio of squishy jellies for summer, I knew it was going to be good!
The Reverie Nail Lacquer Super Squish Trio consists of three jellies along with a limited edition polish and will be released May 29th in her shop. If you purchase all three polishes from the trio you will also receive a free cuticle balm of your choice. I used Gelous & Out The Door top coat for the below photos. Let’s take a look!
Reverie Nail Lacquer Fresa is described as a juicy red jelly with pink undertones filled with red, pink, mint, and iridescent glitters in all sizes of hexes and dots. Three coats. The formula was good, not too thick or thin and with a nice glitter density- I fished a little bit for the larger shapes but not too badly.
Reverie Nail Lacquer Open Water is described as a sheer blue jelly base and is totally packed in all its glitterbomb glory with various shades of white and blue glitters, with a little orange and yellow for an extra pop. Three coats. The formula was great, not too thick or thin and really glitter dense. This is similar to Lily Pads from her Spring collection in that the base is pretty sheer but so packed with glitter that you don’t really see your VNL anyway.
Reverie Nail Lacquer Berry Sorbet is described as a deep purple jelly with bright yellow, red, pink, and tons of iridescent glitters. Three coats. The formula was good, it wasn’t too thick or thin but I did have to fish for the larger glitters.
Reverie Nail Lacquer Fairy Pools is described as a sheer teal jelly base, a gorgeous pink to gold shimmer, a pastel rainbow of glitters, and small vibrant five-petal flowers. Three coats and it was still a bit sheer after the third coat and doesn’t have the glitter density of Open Water/Lily Pads so if you have longer nails or very visible VNL you may want to layer it over a colored base. The formula was good, it applied easily although I did have to fish a bit for the larger shapes. I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about this one when I saw it in the bottle but I liked it a lot better once it was on my nails. Still not my favorite Reverie, though- I think it would look much better on someone with a darker skintone than my cave-dwelling pallor.
Due to limited amounts of some of the components of this polish, this one will be limited to a certain number of bottles. Her LEs usually go within a minute or two so if you want this one I’d recommend being there right when the shop opens!
In the fan group a couple of people mentioned wanting to see comparisons to some of the older Reverie shades so I took bottle shots of the ones I thought were closest so you can see the differences:
Overall, I love these squishy jellies and if I had to pick one, my favorite would be Berry Sorbet. Again, this collection releases May 29th in her shop if you want to grab any of these for yourself!
What do you think of this collection? Which shade is your favorite? Have you tried any of her squishy jellies before? Let me know in the comments!
