I mentioned in my recent post about the gold roses I did using Literary Lacquers I Heard The Bells that I was inspired to bring out the gold in the base of Cirque Colors Thicker Than Water buuuuut….truth be told I think I sometimes just look for excuses to use it since it’s my favorite gold ever and I’m so sad it was LE (Edit: but now I have a backup bottle thanks to a reader who alerted me to a detash, yay!).
I was still wearing Reverie Nail Lacquer Sunshowers from her spring collection and figured the gold shimmer in it’s base would be another good justification to use it! I began by applying a nail vinyl from the Serum No. 5 Pocket Full Of Posies Cut It Out Love Vinyls and pressing down lightly on to my nail. I then painted two coats of Literary Lacquers I Heard The Bells on top, removed the vinyl and finished everything up with Ellagee Glass top coat. (I also filmed a quick tutorial on instagram for this look).
Overall, I thought this was the perfect pairing of shades and I loved how it turned out. What do you think? Do you have a shade you find yourself always making excuses to wear? Let me know in the comments!
