You can always count on something fun and bright from Ellagee and the newly released summer collections I have to share with you today are no different!
The Ellagee Beach Bum collection consists of 7 sun bleached creams and was released on May 9th in her shop. The Ellagee All Summer Long collection consists of 8 neon glitter toppers and will be released on May 16th in her shop. I have three shades from each collection show you today. I used Ellagee Glass top coat for the below photos. Let’s take a look!
Ellagee Salty Breeze is described as a sun-bleached neon lilac creme finish polish. Two coats. The formula was wonderful, luscious and easy to apply. My camera wanted to photograph this as not even close to accurate- I color edited it the best that I could but it’s still a bit of a warmer purple in person.
Ellagee Snoozing In The Hammock is described as a sun-bleached neon periwinkle creme finish polish. Two coats. The formula was wonderful, not too thick or thin. My original bottle had some tiny pigment specks in it (turns out they needed just a bit more smooshing before being mixed in) and the maker quickly sent me a new bottle that was perfect. I’m confident the retail bottles will be good & that she would swiftly correct any issues that came up anyways- she always takes feedback with absolute grace and for that reason is one of my most-respected brands.
Like most periwinkles, this is a bit more purple in person! I tried color-correcting to the best of my ability but it’s still not quite right.
Ellagee Beach Bum is described as a sun-bleached neon peach creme finish polish. Three coats. The formula was good, a little streaky on the first coat but it evened out nicely with additional coats.
Ellagee Afternoon Delight is described as a clear based topper with a mix of pink, purple, and blue neon dot and heart glitter. One coat over Beach Bum. The formula was good, not too thick or thin with a nice glitter density- I thought I was going to have to fish for the hearts but after turning the bottle upside down for a bit before swatching I didn’t have to. Apparently I forgot to take a macro of this one, whoops.
Ellagee Summer Morning is described as a clear based topper with a rainbow mix of neon square, diamond, and flower shaped glitter. One coat over Salty Breeze. The formula was okay, I had to do a lot of dabbing and hand placing though because although the glitter came out of the bottle easily, it just didn’t want to come off of the brush! Really cute in the end though- check out those flowers!!
Ellagee Sea Dancers is described as a clear based topper with a mix of blue, green, coral, and pink neon glitter and silver holo microglitter and dolphins. One coat over Snoozing In The Hammock. The formula was great, after leaving the bottle upside down for a bit before polishing I didn’t even have to fish for any of the dolphins! I’m not a huge fan of the specialty shaped glitters myself but I know a lot of people who love them- you definitely need this one if you do!
Overall, I think these are fun for summer and it’s nice to see something more original than just plain bright neon cream polishes from a brand. Frankly, I think it’s worth it to get the creams for the starfish rings alone- how adorable are they? Again, the All Summer Long collection releases on May 16th in her shop and the Beach Bum collection is already available if you’d like to pick up anything for yourself!
What do you think of these collections? Tried anything out from Ellagee before? Let me know in the comments!
