Welcome to another edition of my favorite polishes series! This week we’re looking at my favorite China Glaze Nail Polishes! China Glaze’s Capital Collection for the first Hunger Games movie was really what started the polish obsession for me- I had to have them just as a Hunger Games fan but once I started actually using them I started to fall in love with polish and, well…the rest is history.
The brand has kind of disappointed me the last year or so but they still put out something really nice occasionally and I have hopes that they will turn things around in the future. Let’s take a look at my current favorites!
In no particular order-
China Glaze Fairy Dust– You know why. If you don’t, read the linked post.
China Glaze Riveting- I’m not even an orange fan usually but I just adore this shade! It’s fiery and flattering and really unique!
China Glaze Strawberry Fields– Pink & gold is always a winning combination, especially in this polish.
China Glaze Smoke And Ashes- Moody and dark but with that green to keep it from being *too* dark. I love this. It probably helps that this was the shade representing District 12!
China Glaze Dress Me Up- This was one of my boyfriend’s favorite polishes for me to wear back when I first started collecting and so it always has a special place in my heart. Really pretty neutral!
China Glaze VII- Very simple, nice, dark, gothy purple.
China Glaze Fade Into Hue- This is such a unique shade, right in between blue and purple and so wonderfully dusty.
China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise- This is the kind of polish that when you paint it on, you’re immediately ready for summer and the beach!
China Glaze Make A Spectacle– I love iridescent glitter and this one is so versatile over different colored bases!
China Glaze Medallion– Blingy like pirate treasure! Really unique glitter for a mainstream brand, too.
