I’ve reviewed some polish from Killer Queen Varnish before and today I’m checking the brand out again- this time, it’s her Spring 2015 collection!
The Killer Queen Varnish Spring 2015 collection consists of five shades total and is already available in her shop. The names of the polishes were all inspired by some of Sommer’s favorite songs. I used Out The Door top coat for the photos below. Let’s take a look!
Killer Queen Varnish Electric Love is described as a glitter topper containing white triangles, micro and small bright pink hex glitter, micro white hex glitter and small lilac and bright yellow hex glitter. One coat over Zoya Megan. The formula was great, I was expecting to have to fish for the triangles but after leaving my bottle upside down for a bit before polishing these all came out without any fishing. This is inspired by the song by BØRNS. So cute for spring!
Killer Queen Varnish Digital Witness is described as a micro glitter topper that becomes opaque in three coats and contains micro holo black hexes, matte mint green micro hexes and matte chiffon pink micro hex glitters. I have it shown here by itself at three coats. The formula was wonderful, not too thick or thin and easy to apply. This is inspired by the song by St. Vincent. I loved this so much more than I thought I was going to- it’s really unique in my collection!
Killer Queen Varnish Dreamer is described as a purple holographic polish. Two coats. The formula was a perfect consistency and applied easily. This is inspired by the song by Isbells. I think this one was my favorite, it’s such a pretty twinkling shade!
Killer Queen Varnish Silver Lining is described as a medium gray that sparkles lightly holographic in the sun. Two coats. The formula was really nice, not too thick or thin. This is inspired by the song by Rilo Kiley. This was so soft and pretty!
Killer Queen Varnish Shake Sugaree is described as a happy springy green that shimmers blue-green. Three coats. The formula was good, patchy on the first coat but additional coats evened it out. This is inspired by the song by Mary Lou Lord.
Overall, I think this is a really cute collection for spring. Again, this collection is already available in her shop so head right over to pick some of these shades up for yourself if you’d like!
What do you think of this collection? Which shade is your favorite? Let me know in the comments!
