I recently showed you guys the Ever After Polish Easter Duo and mentioned that I’d be back soon to show you their spring collection! As the great George Washington (probably actually never) said, I cannot tell a lie, so here I am with swatches for you today of the Back To The Future-inspired collection!
The Ever After Polish Spring Collection consists of 7 shades total and releases in their shop on April 10th. I used Out The Door top coat for the photos below. Let’s take a look!
Ever After Polish Enchantment Under The Sea is described as a green jelly flakie. Two coats. The formula was on the thick side for sure but not unworkable. I love the depth of this one!
Ever After Polish The Delorian is described as a blue-grey holo with glitters. Two coats. The formula was good, a touch on the thick side but still really easy to control and apply, not gloopy or anything. This is a really unique color!
Ever After Polish Mc-Fly is described as a coral scattered leaning linear holo. Two coats but this could easily be a one coater if you do thicker coats. The formula was great, thick in a nice way that allows you to easily control it. Brighter in person for sure!
Ever After Polish 10/21/2015 is described as a highlighter-yellow neon jelly-leaning creme. Three coats. The formula was a little on the thin side, easy enough to apply if you don’t overload your brush but if you do, you’ll be dealing with cuticle flooding. It was also pretty streaky, even with additional coats. As with pretty much all neons, they are notoriously difficult to photograph, this one is much brighter in person.
My swatch bottle had some small black bits in it- it looked more like flakes than any sort of unmixed pigment or common issue and was very sparse. I spoke to the maker about it and she advised me that there was probably something that accidentally got into my bottle when she was mixing. The swatch bottles were made one-by-one and not in a large batch so she assured me that any retail bottles should not have this issue. She also offered to resend this one to me and I have confidence that she would do the same with any retail customer.
Ever After Polish Hoverboard is described as a pink neon jelly-leaning creme. Three coats, but probably would need four to even out the streakiness entirely. Same formula as 10/21/2015. Brighter in person.
Ever After Polish Great Scott is described as a blue neon jelly-leaning creme. Three coats, but probably would need four to even out the streakiness entirely. Same formula as 10/21/2015 & Hoverboard. Brighter in person.
Ever After Polish Plutonium is described as a gold shimmer topper. One coat over Zoya Pinta. The formula was great, not too thick or thin and applied easily. I think this is also dense enough that it would look nice over lighter colors as well as darker ones!
Overall, I think this was a nice collection that showed a variety of different colors and finishes. The neons were a bit of a miss for me (but I’m not a fan of neons in general anyway) but the others were really lovely. My personal picks would be The Delorian and Enchantment Under The Sea. Again, this collection releases in their shop on April 10th so make sure to set a reminder if you want to grab some of these up for yourself!
What do you think of this collection? Which shade is your favorite? Have you tried out anything from this brand before? Let me know in the comments!
