If you’ve been reading my blog for awhile, you already know that Aliquid Lacquer is a brand I’ve really come to love over the past year. She has a habit of posting sneak peeks of new collections on her social media and when I saw the first one of her Austentatious collection, I knew I couldn’t miss out on trying it!
The Aliquid Lacquer Austentatious collection is inspired by the Bennet sisters from Pride and Prejudice and released in her shop on April 1st ($12 for 15 ml/$5.50 for 5 ml). I used Out The Door top coat for the photos below. Let’s take a look!
Aliquid Lacquer Fine Eyes (Elizabeth Bennet) is described as a coffee brown jelly with orange-green and green-blue iridescent glitter and a mix of ultrachrome flakies in gold, green and blue. Three coats. The formula was good, thicker than the others but in an easy to control kind of way. I’m not usually into browns but I was surprised by how much I loved this!
Aliquid Lacquer Too Apt To Like People (Jane Bennet) is described as a pale peachy nude with gold shimmer and ultrachrome flakies in gold, green and pink. Three coats, although four may be needed on longer nails. The formula was good, not too thick or thin.
Aliquid Lacquer Young Lady of Deep Reflection (Mary Bennet) is described as a light muted tan with ultrachrome flakies in pink, purple, green, blue and gold. Three coats. The formula was good, a little on the thin side but still easy to work with.
Aliquid Lacquer Cough As Much As You Choose (Kitty Bennet) is described as a pale minty blue with white and blue glass flecks, pink shimmer, and ultrachrome flakies in green, blue and purple. Three coats. The formula was great, a little streaky on the first coat but evened out with additional coats.
Aliquid Lacquer Such A Delicious Scheme (Lydia Bennet) is described as a deep rosy magenta with holographic shimmer and ultrachrome flakies in blue, green, pink, gold and purple. Two coats. The formula was great, not too thick or thin and stayed where you put it. I think this one is my favorite!
Included in the collection release was also a new scent to her cuticle balm, which is one of my favorites! It’s moisturizing and feels really nice on the lips. The new scent is Earl Grey with a twist of lemon- as a tea lover I was super excited about this one!
Overall, I think this is a cohesive and solid collection and I love the unique use of these flakies. Again, this collection released on April 1st in her shop, so head on over if you’d like to pick any of these up! They are all 15% off through April 3rd.
What do you think of this collection? Which of these shades is your favorite? Do you own anything from this brand yet? Let me know in the comments!
