Spring collections are typically my least favorite time of the polish ‘season’, but I actually really enjoyed what Zoya did with the Awaken collection last year and was excited to see what they had in store for 2015. When the press release came out for the Delight collection, there were definitely some intriguing shades!
The Zoya Delight collection consists of 6 shades in typical spring colors- three cheerful creams and three turquiose flash metallics (as they describe it). I used Out The Door top coat for all of my swatches below. Let’s take a look!
Zoya Rayne is described as a dewy, spring blue with an energizing turquoise metallic flash. Three coats. The formula had a great consistency and went on easily, the first coat was a bit streaky but it evened out with additional coats.
Zoya Lillian is described as a faded aquamarine with a glossy cream finish. Three coats. The formula was good, a bit streaky on the first couple coats but evened out after a few.
Zoya Tiana is described as a palette-cleansing ‘pistachio gelato’ green in a glossy cream finish. Three coats. The formula was alright, a bit watery and streaky but it evened out with a few coats. They must have taken some inspiration from Disney with this shade!
Zoya Daisy is described as a refreshing ‘lemon merengue’ yellow with a turquoise metallic flash. Three coats. The formula was decent for a yellow, streaky on the first two coats but evened out by the third. I feel like this shade is not that flattering on me but I think people with darker skin tones will rock it. The full hand swatch is color accurate, the macro is not.
Zoya Leslie is described as a soft spring lavender with a turquoise metallic flash. Two coats. This had the best formula out of all the turquoise flash shades. I had to color edit the photos as this wanted to photograph as more blue than it is.
Zoya Eden is described as a classic spring flower pink in a glossy cream finish. Two coats. The formula was good, a little on the thin side but not difficult to work with as long as you don’t overload the brush.
Overall, I think this is great for a spring collection. As you guys know, I am not big into pastels or typical spring colors so I’m more looking forward to the summer collection but this is nice if you do like spring colors. My picks would definitely be Eden and Leslie. This collection is available now on the Zoya website. I also have the Satin collection coming for you shortly- I know I usually get this stuff up quicker for you guys but I totally failed this time with it being our busy season at work. 🙁
What do you think of this collection? Any shades you’re planning to pick up? Let me know in the comments!
