The new spring vinyl set consists of a variety of cute designs- bunnies, easter eggs, tulips, butterflies, flowers and more! Quality-wise, the KBShimmer nail vinyls have never let me down, they’re a decent thickness and stick really well.
For today’s design I began with a base of KBShimmer Thistle Be The Day and waited for it to dry. Once dry, I applied the vinyls across each nail (minus my pinky, I left that as an accent), applied a coat of KBShimmer Pansy-monium and then removed the vinyls. I finished everything up with a coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.
Overall, I really liked how these turned out, although I have mixed feelings about a couple of the designs on this vinyl set. The small flowers on the row of tulips have such a small circle on the inside that I couldn’t get it weeded (and they didn’t stick to the sheet automatically), which didn’t bug me too much because the design is still cute without it pulled out & if I really wanted to I probably could weed it using a needle or something smaller than my tweezers.
The other thing is that the tulip stems both ripped when I was trying to remove them from the nail- I think it may just be too thin in that area so you have to be really careful when removing them about what direction you’re applying the pressure to pull them off from. I think that next time I will probably try to use my finger instead of the tweezers so I can make sure to pull with a lighter touch. The chevron design and the larger tulip worked perfectly and I will definitely be using those a lot.
There are a lot of other great designs on the sheet, too, and I’m happy to see KBShimmer expanding her vinyl line even more. This vinyl sheet will be released with the rest of the Spring 2015 collection on 02/06.
What do you think of my design? Have you tried any of KBShimmer’s nail vinyls yet? Let me know in the comments!
