LynBDesigns is a brand I’ve tried a couple of times recently and really grown to like! She makes some pretty unique and gorgeous colors and the formula is typically very on point. So, I was definitely intrigued when I first heard about her About A Galaxy collection!
The LynBDesigns About A Galaxy collection consists of 12 flakie shades based on The Galaxy Song by Monty Python. It will be available to purchase on January 24th in the LynBDesigns etsy shop and each polish will retail for $10. I used Out The Door top coat for the below photos and had no issues formula-wise with any of these. Let’s take a look!
LynBDesigns Amazingly Unlikely is described as a blue based multichrome that shifts from blue to purple to pink and even gold along with a smattering of aqua holographic glitter and blue fantasy flakies. Three coats.
LynBDesigns Planet That’s Evolving is described as a blue toned medium green crelly loaded with multi colored fantasy flakies that dries to a dull finish and needs top coat to make it shine. Three coats.
LynBDesigns Amazing And Expanding Universe is described as a clear base with micro silver flakies and UCC flakies that pepper the silver with tones of green, gold, bronze, and even a little red. I used three coats here but you could also layer this one if you wanted.
LynBDesigns Galaxy We Call The Milky Way is described as a blurple jelly base loaded with green fantasy flakies that shift to orange and yellow. Three coats.
LynBDesigns Here On Earth is described as a UCC flakie topper that shifts from green to gold to bronze to red and has kind of a linear effect to the shifting. Two coats over Barielle Gondola Ride.
LynBDesigns Feeling Very Small And Insecure is described as a UCC flakie topper that has flashes of pink, blue, green, and purple along with pink to orange fantasy flakies. Two coats over Zoya Caitlin.
LynBDesigns All The Stars That You Can See is described as a murky blue toned black jelly base loaded with rainbow fantasy flakies. Three coats.
LynBDesigns Whenever Life Gets You Down Mrs. Brown is described as a tan crelly based polish with micro silver flakies and pink to orange fantasy flakies. Three coats.
LynBDesigns Nineteen Miles A Second is described as a UCC flakie topper that shift from pink to blue to purple to green and can be built to full coverage in three thick or four thin coats. I used four coats for these photos.
LynBDesigns The Speed Of Light, You Know is described as a UCC flakie topper that has a scattered shifting effect that shows blue, green, gold, and even bronze. Two coats over Zoya Wednesday.
LynBDesigns Galactic Central Point is described as a linear holographic topper with blue to purple fantasy flakies. One coat over Zoya Pinta.
LynBDesigns Source Of All Our Power is described as a UCC flakie top coat that has a linear shift from bronze to gold to silver and can be built to full coverage in three thick or four thin coats. Three coats.
Overall, I think this is a really pretty and cohesive collection! The jellies were the standouts for me, but if you don’t already have any of the metallic flakies I’d definitely recommend those as well. Again, this collection releases 01/24 (two days after my birthday, woo!) in her shop, so be sure to set yourself a reminder if you want to grab any of these! (You can also join the LynB Loves group on facebook to get sneak peeks of new collections in advance and access to early pre-orders for collections!)
What do you think about this collection? Which color is your favorite? Do you own any polishes from LynBDesigns yet? Let me know in the comments!
