Okay, before anything else- you guys may remember when I geeked out a couple weeks ago over being featured as one of The Crumpet’s 25 Days Of Bloggers but HOLY CRAP! Something even more geek-out-able (I know that’s not a word, shhhh) happened yesterday- I tied for 2nd place on her reader poll for favorite swatch blogs. I could not believe my eyes seeing my name up there among other awesome blogs like Accio Lacquer, Pointless Cafe & The Polishaholic! Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me- it really means a lot to me. You guys keep me going on when things get rough. Okay, enough mushiness, on to today’s post!
I’ve been really loving Serum No. 5 lately, and today I have two new-ish products to share with you- New You and her new Sugar Scrub!
Serum No. 5 New You is described as a lavender-toned silver holo with rainbow micro flakies. It was originally part of her holiday collaboration with two other brands but is now available for sale by itself as well. The formula was the perfect consistency (thick enough to stay where you put it but not so much that it was gloopy or difficult to apply) and applied easily and I used two easy coats with Out The Door top coat for the below photos.
In addition to polish, I also really love bath and body type products so I was excited to hear about the Serum No. 5 White Tea Ginger Lime Serum Scrubs. The scrub is formed into cute and convenient one-time-use hearts, so you can take just one into the shower or bath at a time to use (you’ll want to store the others in a dry place). I found that they did a great job at exfoliating my dry skin and the shape was easy to hold on to as it was being used up.Also, the smell is INCREDIBLE! The citrus scent was the strongest in the mix and it’s an incredibly refreshing scent.
At first when I looked at them in the packaging, I thought the shapes had gotten a little broken up in shipping (which if they had to me is not really a big deal). But when I looked closer, I realized that actually, it was just that there were various sizes of the hearts, including itty bitty ones! I thought that was a really nice touch, because the small ones are perfect to use just on your hands!
From the maker:
