It’s no secret that Reverie Nail Lacquer is one of my top favorite indie brands. She burst out on the crowded indie scene a little over a year ago and has been making some of the most unique and high quality polishes out there. Winter is my favorite season for polish, so I was really excited to get her winter collection in to review!
The Reverie Nail Lacquer Winter Collection consists of six shades adding on to her regular lineup- and one limited edition polish. It will be released at midnight on Black Friday 11/28 in her etsy shop. Let’s take a look!
Reverie Nail Lacquer Stardust is described as a a squishy jelly featuring a blackened blue base, blue and yellow hex and circle glitters, tons of iridescence, and two different sizes of stars. I used three coats for the below photos along with Gelous + Out The Door top coats. The formula was great, not too thick or thin and the glitter all came out easily. I’m in love with this shade, the iridescence kills me, it’s so good.

And of course, as I do in every Reverie post, I had to matte all the jellies! |
Reverie Nail Lacquer Red Velvet is described as a red base filled with gold shimmer and super sparkly holographic red glitter. I used three coats for the below photos along with Out The Door top coat. The formula was great, no complaints here. This is a bit of a deeper red in person, more close to how it looks in the bottle in the swatch photos.
Reverie Nail Lacquer Polar Night is described as a squishy purple jelly filled with orange, gold, and blue glitters in hex and circle shapes. I used three coats for the below photos along with Gelous + Out The Door top coat. The formula was wonderful, I was expecting to have to fish for the big circles but they came out super easily. I think this color combo is really unique, I love it! I did color edit the photos to show how it looks in person, it wants to capture as much more blue than it is.
Reverie Nail Lacquer Christmas Cactus is described as a a smoky green base loaded with red and gold shimmery flakie goodness. I used three coats for the below photos along with Out The Door top coat. The formula was again perfect, almost applied itself! This was the one I was least excited about at first but completely fell in love once it was on my nails!
Reverie Nail Lacquer Bayberry is described as a rich wine red polish with a subtle scattered holo and just a touch of blue flakies. I used two coats for the below photos along with Gelous + Out The Door top coat. The formula was perfection, wonderful consistency and went on easy. So beautiful and vampy. It’s just the slightest touch more purple in person.

I had no sun on swatch day, so I had to take this a few days later. Bayberry wears really well, too! |
Reverie Nail Lacquer Yuletide is described as a squishy green jelly packed with a rainbow of hex and circle glitters. I used three coats for the below photos along with Gelous + Out The Door top coat. The formula was great, not too thick or thin and went on easily without having to fish for glitter. Festive with a twist!
Reverie Nail Lacquer First Snow is described as a squishy blue-leaning-purple base loaded with purple and pink glitters, lots of iridescence, plus star and snowflake glitters. I used three coats for the below photos along with Gelous + Out The Door top coat. The formula was amazing again, I was expecting to have to fish for the snowflakes but they came out really easily. I also had to color edit these photos as it wants to photograph as much more blue than it actually is. I have no idea what kind of magic Reverie has in order to be able to make these polishes with the larger, heavy shaped glitter where you get a ton out easily but the formula isn’t overly thick. Due to the seasonal nature of snowflake glitter, this polish will be limited edition!
Overall, I think this is another fantastic collection from Reverie Nail Lacquer! Each shade is gorgeous, unique and has a really nice formula. There’s also a nice variety- you have the awesome glitterbombs for when you really want to sparkle and you have more muted (but still beautiful) shades if you want a palette cleanser or something more work appropriate. Again, this collection will be up for sale on 11/28 at midnight so make sure to set a reminder if you want to grab some of these!
What do you think of this collection? Which shades are your favorite? Have you tried any polishes from Reverie Nail Lacquer yet? Let me know in the comments!
