One brand you’ve seen a lot from me lately is Ellagee– and with good reason! The owner is really sweet, the polishes and fun extras (such as nail polish keychains, nightlights, etc) she puts out are super awesome and the fan group on facebook is full of really great people (have you joined yet?).
So, when I heard that she was putting out a limited edition duo for Black Friday, I was super excited to see what she’d come up with- especially as she’d hinted in the fan group that the polishes were so awesome she was a little sad that she’d created them as LE’s, haha!
The Ellagee Shopping Madness Limited Edition Trio consists of three awesomely-named shades: Shop Stalker, F5! F5 and Cartjacked. It will be available starting around midnight on Black Friday (11/28) and will only be available to purchase from that Friday through Monday. Formula-wise, they were all similar- not too thick or thin, incredibly smooth and easy to control and I used two coats for the photos along with Ellagee Glass top coat.
|I also love her fun magnets!|
In addition to the limited edition trio, she’ll also be releasing a new, non-LE polish to go along with her Sparkling Gemstones line- Jewel Encrusted! The formula on that was a touch thick but easy to apply (similar formula wise to BOOM! and KACHOW! if you have those) and I used three coats for the photos along with Gelous & Ellagee Glass top coats. Let’s get started!
Ellagee Shop Stalker is described as a hot pink with flashes of magenta and purple.
|Using Ellagee’s Velvet matte top coat|
Ellagee F5! F5! is described as a vivid grape purple with flashes of hot pink and red-violet. This one wants to look pretty much blue on camera so I had to fiddle with the colors a bit- I’d say it’s still even slightly more purple in person.
Ellagee Cartjacked is described as an electric blue with flashes of indigo and purple.
Ellagee Jewel Encrusted is described as a glitterbomb with a clear base containing a mix of metallic and holo glitter in multiple jewel toneswith silver holo and gold holo microglitter. You can either build this to opacity or wear a thin coat of it as a topper, I chose to build it on it’s own for maximum sparkle! Pictures can in no way do this justice, so I showed it on instagram in video format as well!
Overall, I think these are totally gorgeous and I see myself wearing the trio especially a lot during the holidays. When I’m not going to have time to re-do my nails often, I really appreciate and find myself reaching for polishes like these that are much easier to remove than glitters (which are my normal go-to but with a peel-off base only last 1-2 days) but are more interesting then a plain creme so that I don’t get bored with them. And when I do want maximum sparkle for a day or two….you can bet I’ll be re-wearing Jewel Encrusted!!
Again, the trio will be going up for sale in her shop at midnight on Black Friday and will be available through Monday only, so make sure to set a reminder for yourself!
What do you think of this trio & the new gemstones polish? Which of the shades is your favorite? Have you tried out any polishes from Ellagee before? Let me know in the comments!
