In addition to nail polish, I also like to also try out other beauty and self-care products. Specifically, I’m a huge lip product junkie (seriously, you don’t want to see my stash, it’s embarrassing) so I was excited to get the chance to try out a new lip butter from Teadora Beauty!
Teadora Beauty is a brand that I haven’t tried before, but checking them out, they seem really cool! They use a lot of natural ingredients and state that by purchasing their products, you are supporting sustainable agriculture in Brazil to help stop rainforest deforestation and that you are also funding a philanthropy exchange between the US and Brazil that promotes youth education, leadership development, and health.
Here’s a little information direct from Teadora about this lip butter:
We like to use lip balm to try and soothe our lips and keep them from becoming dry and cracked, but ingredients used in certain brands actually cause the problem rather than solve it. This keeps us coming back for more. The Teadora Lip Butter is a dual function lip treatment that can be activated as a light exfoliant prior to moisturizing and softening your lips. It contains a variation of 100% natural Rainforest Restoration Elixir composed of the antioxidant and vitamin-rich Buriti, Brazil Nut, Andoriba, Maracujá (Passion Fruit), Açaí oils, Cupuaçu, Murumuru, Mango butters plus Carnauba Wax for intense hydration. Our lips are thin and lack the layers of protection that the rest of our features have, so we should be extra careful in caring for our lips this winter!
The Teadora Lip Butter is available in two scents- Dawn (citrusy flavor called Laranja) and Dusk (berry-chocolate flavor called Açaí-Açu), I received Dawn to review. I really liked the packaging this came in which included included some fun information about the brand and definitions.
The Dawn scent is really great- the citrus scent is definitely there but not in an overpowering way (and it really made me want oranges). You can either use a light hand while applying it and get just enough to moisturize without feeling the grittiness of the exfoliating stuff, or you can get more on your lips to really feel the light exfoliant. It was enough for my sensitive lips to really feel exfoliating without hurting or irritating them.
Overall, I really like this product. It isn’t super long lasting but my lips don’t feel super dried out when it does start to wear off like they do with some other products. This product is available for purchase now on the Teadora website here. Be sure to check out their other products while you’re there!
