I recently organized/attended a meetup with some local nail fanatics here in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. We decided to all paint our nails purple so that we’d be semi-matching. I debated on how to do my nails for a long time- so many purples, so many nail art choices! Eventually I settled on a gradient with some fun single chevrons.
I began with a base of Reverie Nail Lacquer Orchid and then created a sponge gradient using Orchid, Girly Bits Bird Is The Word & Girly Bits Man Size Love. This didn’t turn out exactly like I was envisioning it in my mind (doesn’t that always happen?), so I fairy dusted that shit.
Once dry, I applied some KBShimmer Single Chevron Nail Vinyls to my nails in varying patterns. I painted a coat of KBShimmer Eclipse on top and then removed the vinyls. I finished everything up with a coat of Out The Door.
The meetup was really fun! We ate at Red Robin (pretzel bites, hollllla) and chatted about all things nails for a few hours. Everyone was so nice and funny, I can’t wait to get together again! There were some other local ladies who couldn’t make this one that I can’t wait to meet in the future.

What do you think of my design? Have you ever attended a nail meetup in your local area? Let me know in the comments!
