If you’ve been following my blog for awhile, you may remember awhile back when I reviewed six pretty polishes from Literary Lacquers (Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster remains one of my absolute favorite indie polishes ever- perfect to wear alone or in nail art)! Well, despite my craptastic photos at the time, she was kind enough to ask if I’d like to check out some shades from her newest collection!
The Wrinkle In Time Collection consists of 8 beautiful holo polishes total, and I have four to share with you today- Aunt Beast, Megatron, Who Which Whatsit and Strong Steady Hand. The formula on all four was very similar- perfectly thin and easy to control with no cuticle flooding. I used Out The Door top coat for the photos below.
The weather was not cooperating the day I swatched these so I wasn’t able to get sun shots of all of them- it kept going in and out of the clouds but when it was out I ran out like a madman in my pajamas. I’m sure my neighbors think I’m strange, always outside in PJs taking photos of my hand, haha. Anyways, let’s take a look!
|Yay for eco-friendly packaging, too!|
Literary Lacquers Who Which Whatsit is described as a lime green linear holo with green shimmer. Three coats. This color totally made me want an apple! You can find detailed information about the literary inspiration here.
Literary Lacquers Strong Steady Hand is described as a sparkling coral holo loaded with masses of holo sparkle. Two coats. This was SO incredibly sparkly, my photos don’t come even close to capturing it! You can find detailed information about the literary inspiration here.
Literary Lacquers Megatron is described as a royal purple linear holo with purple and silver holo sparkle. Two coats. This one is suuuuch a pretty shade of purple! Book inspiration info for this shade is here.
Literary Lacquers Aunt Beast is described as a tarnished silver linear holo packed with taupe microflakies. Three coats. Although the other three were gorgeous, I can’t even pretend that this one wasn’t my absolute favorite. I’m going through a major taupe phase (as Polish Hound would say) and it’s just incredible, the microflakies add this whole other dimension to it. Inspiration info for this polish is here.
Overall, a second wonderful impression of the brand. Her polishes are high quality, I love that she’s inspired by books and literature & I highly recommend this brand! What do you think? Which of these shades is your favorite? Have you already picked any up? Let me know in the comments!
