So, you guys know that KBShimmer was one of my first ever indie purchases & I’ve been a huge fan ever since that first purchase. In addition to the wide variety of nail polish finishes & nail art products she offers, she also has a ton of personal care & bath and body products available as well. It’s really just a great brand overall, and the brand is celebrating it’s 6th anniversary!
To celebrate, she created a wonderful trio of nail polish. As you guys know, I don’t have the funds right now to buy often since I work seasonally during the tax season, but as soon as I started seeing swatches of these, I knew I needed to save up to purchase the set! The KBShimmer Sixth Anniversary Trio consists of three polishes- Hexy Bikini, Beach Please and Shore Thing. Let’s take a look!
KBShimmer Beach Please is described as a bright, near neon pink cream with purple leanings. I used two coats for the below photo along with Clearly On Top. The formula was on this one was incredible, it applied like a smooth jelly. I think this shade is flattering while still being bright and fun! This shade also totally freaked out my camera- I’d say the first photo is more color accurate than the second.
KBShimmer Shore Thing is described as a bright aqua-mint cream with blue-green undertones. It’s more green than it wants to show itself as in photos. I used two coats for the below photo along with Clearly On Top. The formula was great a great cream formula, thick enough to not flood your cuticles but thin enough that it’s easily applied. The first coat goes on a little streaky but evens up nicely with the second. It dries to a satin finish so you’ll want to use top coat for ultimate shine.
KBShimmer Hexy Bikini is a texture polish with holo glitters in silver, teal, and pink. I used two coats for the below photos, shown both with and without top coat (Gelous + KBShimmer Clearly On Top). The formula was great, it reminded me of the newest Zoya Magical Pixie Dusts but a little less chunky (which is good, IMO). I wasn’t sure when I saw swatches online if I’d love this one or not, but it is so beautiful in person. If you’ve been going back and forth on whether or not to get it, do yourself a favor and go for it! I took a short video of it showing the sparkle on instagram here!

After swatching these, I had to put them on as a full mani, so I wore Beach Please on my index, Shore Thing on my pinkie and Hexy Bikini on all the rest!
Overall, a really wonderful trio of polishes that stand out on their own. I want to wish KBShimmer a happy anniversary, thanks for giving us six great years of products! What is your favorite KBShimmer product? Let me know in the comments!
