I recently won a gift certificate to Emerald & Ash in a giveaway. I’d already tried out (..and may have fairy dusted) some of their cuticle oils, so I decided to try out some polish this time and selected Trick and Sweater Weather!
Emerald & Ash Trick is a periwinkle holo with blue to violet micro flakes. I used two for the below photos along with Out The Door top coat. The formula was okay, it did drag so you have to work quickly and not go over the same spot more than once. It also dries to a matte finish naturally, so you’ll definitely want to use top coat.
Emerald & Ash Sweater Weather is a grey crelly polish that is filled with yellow micro flakes. I used three for the below photos along with Out The Door top coat. The formula was okay, not too thick or thin but it did have some trouble self-leveling. I also had a little trouble with application as my bottle had a wonky brush. Sadface. 🙁
Overall, while there were some minor formula issues, the polishes were pretty and I would probably give this brand a second chance if there was a sale or something. I do really recommend their cuticle oils, though!
|When I first looked at this, I was really confused by why it said it was created in 2011- but I’m guessing my camera’s calendar isn’t actually set up.|
