Hey, everyone! I know, I’m posting twice today, are you sick of me yet? Frankly, I switched to posting daily instead of 3 times a week to get rid of my backlog stuff but I still have over a month’s worth of posts at this point and I’m getting ansty to show you some new stuff, so I said fuck the police and I’m showing you something I did (*gasp*) today and not a few months ago, ha! We’ve also got a week of swatches coming up so I figured you’d like to see something a little different.
I’ve also been feeling just the slightest tinge of burnout with my work schedule & blogging and creating something fun is always a good way to put me back in a better mood. We’re going to make it to that 1 year blogsversary in June, damnit! Note: this is why I write posts in advance usually, now that I’m sitting here typing it out I just feel like rambling all over the place to you guys and I know you don’t want that! Shut up and get to the nail art, Kirby.
Anyways. As you may know, Messy Mansion makes some of my favorite stamping plates and I’d been foaming at the mouth to get the pirate-themed one (MM37) ever since she showed us teaser pics a few weeks ago. It came in yesterday and I knew I had to use it right away!
For the base I used three coats of Scofflaw Dingoes Ate My Baby (a gift from In Jeeb We Trust & previously swatched here) with three coats of Aliquid Lacquer Shores Of Paradise (from her new Silmarillion collection- stay tuned for swatches this week!) on my accent nail (+ thumb). I used the Konad white polish to stamp and finished up with a coat of Out The Door.
If you’d like to pick up some Messy Mansion plates of your own, you can find her shop here! Be sure to also like her on facebook & follow her on instagram to keep up to date with restocks and whatnot. And if you haven’t already, check out my list of indie brand facebook groups and make sure to join her fan group!
I also want to share something I thought was really neat, a Hungarian (I think!) blogger recreated one of my manis here– how neat is that? Go show her some love! Also, a little while back @onli4songz on twitter also was inspired by my Zoya Striping tape mani and recreated it here. I love seeing this kind of stuff, definitely picks my spirits back up when I’m feeling a little under the blogging weather. 😉 Okay, better cut my rambling short. Will see you guys tomorrow, and as always, thanks for reading.
