Hi, everyone! I was recently given the opportunity to review a brand I hadn’t yet featured on the blog- L.A. Girl Cosmetics! L.A Girl is a nice, affordable brand that can be found either at their website or locally at Rite Aid. I was sent 8 shades to review- Birthday Cake, Burst, Tantrum, Minty, Delight, Intense, Wild Child and Peacock.
I’m going to split my review into two different posts- today will feature Birthday Cake, Burst, Tantrum (all from the ColorPop Color Clash collection) and Minty (from the ColorPop Rebel collection). Check back soon for the other shades!
L.A. Girl Cosmetics Birthday Cake is a pink crelly with multicolored glitter. Shown here is three coats with topcoat. The formula was divine, packed with glitter, not too thick or thin and applied like a dream. This is such a fun shade and I felt like I was spreading cupcake icing on my nails instead of polish! I’d love seeing more shades along the lines of this one from them!
L.A. Girl Cosmetics Burst is a clear glitter topper filled with small pink and holographic glitter, shown here as one coat layered over L.A Girl Cosmetics Delight (which will be shown in the next post) with topcoat. The formula was fantastic, not too thick and it spread easily. This is absolutely packed with glitter!
L.A. Girl Cosmetics Tantrum is a hot pink neon. Shown here is three coats with topcoat. The formula was a little thin & sheer/streaky on the first coat but built up easily and nicely.
L.A. Girl Cosmetics Minty is a nice mint creme. Shown here is three coats with topcoat. The formula was okay, a little on the thin side and the first coat went on streaky but by the third coat everything had evened out perfectly. You could probably get away with two coats if you’re careful. This is such a great mint shade!
That’s all until next time, folks! Want some L.A. Girl Cosmetic shades of your own? They can be purchased online at their website ($5 retail) or locally at Rite Aid. Be sure to also like them on facebook and follow them on instagram to stay up-to-date with news and new releases!
What’s your favorite shade from this set? Let me know in the comments!
