Hi, everyone! So, today’s post is going to be a little bit different. After a couple of updates on my facebook page (here and here) got a ton of likes, my boyfriend’s head got a little…big(ger). For his birthday he decided that as one of his gifts he wanted to write a post on my blog! Can you believe the nerve?? I asked you guys on facebook how you’d feel about that and you all said that I should let him!
He’s instructed me that I can’t change anything he typed, so my own experience with these two beautiful polishes (Femme Fatale Cosmetics Stonemother’s Kiss & Midsummer Petals) will be in italics below, but everything else is all him! Hopefully his ego doesn’t get any bigger or he might just take over this blog.
I decided to let him write this post specifically because I purchased these polishes with a gift card he gave me for my birthday and because I wore one of these on his birthday. When I asked what he wanted me to put on my nails, he just answered, “Something like those forces polish.” (aka = Circle glitters in jelly a la Emily De Molly Cosmic/Oceanic Forces)
(Femme Fatale Cosmetics Stonemother’s Kiss: This is 3 coats by itself. The formula was a bit more on the thin side than I’d expect for a jelly- you definitely want to make sure you have as much on the brush as you can get before you apply it- otherwise it’s just very thin, quick drying and a little hard to apply. I would probably go with undies and less coats of this next time, but it’s incredibly gorgeous once it’s built up! On top I used a coat of Gelous to smooth out the glitters & a coat of Out The Door)
JED: Okay everybody! My name is Jed and I’m here to go ahead and talk about these nail perlish and you’re all gonna love it! So…this one is called Femme Fatal which is the companys and the name of the perlish is Stonemother’s Kiss.
Reminds me of a cool medusa power ’cause it’s gonna turn you into stone when you gaze upon it but then when you gaze upon it you’re like….’Oh woah! It’s not turning me into stone!’ But, like, totally the name is Stonemother’s Kiss!!
Anyway, it’s all bluey and then you got the purpley in there. And I like it when it’s all shiny, you can see some white ’cause it’s all shining. And then I think I see a little bit of light blue and then maybe some yeller. It’s all like holographic and I’m all like woah it’s all 3D!!!
So what do I think of this perlish?? On a scale of Nicholas Cage to Val Kilmer it’s a Steven Seagal. Figure it out.
(Femme Fatale Cosmetics Midsummer Petals: This is one coat over two coats of Zoya Caitlin. This was a long-time lemming for me and it definitely didn’t disappoint, look how gorgeous it is! The formula was similar to Stonemother’s Kiss but not quite as hard to work with. I also used a coat of Gelous to smooth it out before applying Out The Door.)
JED: Okay, my next nail perlish is also from the Femme Fatals. And it’s called Midsummer Petals.
And I’m all totally thinking about A Midsummer Night’s Dream cause I know you are too! Remember that story? It’s Shakespeare I’m pretty sure. It’s about when I think Pan the goat god wanted to play his pan flute but then Oberon the fairy king wanted him to stop leaving the TV on when he left the apartment. And Pan is totally such a douchey roommate that he wanted his money back so he can find his own place. Needless to say, Oberon didn’t get his money back. And I think there’s a part in there where they rake leaves.
SO, the perlish is all, like, it’s got some reddish colors in there, which made me think of like, dead leaves during autumn! It’s all on the ground and you’re like holy crap! Look at dem colored leaves! Totally red and brown but they’re dead!
And then in the background I see a little bit of I think that’s indigoish or maybe plum, I mean…it’s like a light purple? Like, if you mix let’s say blue and then added orange in there and then added a little bit of brown you would get that color. So that’s like the back color from what I can see.
And then there’s a lot of cool round flakes that reminds me of fish scales. And they’re shiny like fish scales. There is pretty cool rainbow shininess in there too but mostly…’lot of dead leaves. So, if Cosmic Forces is amazing and then Glittering Garbage is the worst it’s a coconut oil. I’m the best at rating these things!
So I hope everybody enjoyed me writing this post. Kirby will totally freak out when you all will like it more than her posts. So do it. I have spoken. You’re welcome.
