Hi, everyone! You may remember awhile back I reviewed a couple of polishes from Anne Kathleen‘s Queen Anne collection and really enjoyed them! So, I was excited when she gave me the opportunity to review her upcoming St. Patrick’s Day collection – Golden Fields!
This collection was released on March 1st and consists of 5 beautiful shades: Ailis, Cait, Fidelma, Kiera and Tigris. I have irish ancestry on both sides of my family and love green, so I’m super psyched when collections come out around this time of year! Let’s take a look at the collection!
Anne Kathleen Ailis is a green jelly full of fine matte green glitters and fine gold holographic glitter (all descriptions directly from Anne Kathleen). Photos show two coats with topcoat. Formula was good, maybe a tad bit on the thick side but still pretty easily workable.
It dries just the tiniest bit on the matte side, so I would definitely use top coat. This one was probably my favorite- I’m a sucker for Jellies and I think Anne Kathleen does a great job at them.
Anne Kathleen Cait is a shimmery, sheer gold polish with fine gold holographic, fine green, medium green, and medium sea green glitter. Photos show two coats with topcoat, I probably should have gone for a third under these bright lights but it was perfectly opaque in person.
Formula was great, not too thick or thin and was easy to apply. I wasn’t too sure I’d like this from how it looked in the bottle but it was absolutely gorgeous on the nail!
Anne Kathleen Fidelma is a shimmery, sheer gold polish with medium sea green glitter. Photos show three coats with topcoat. Formula was good, a little thick but not unworkably so and spread pretty easy as long as you wipe a good amount off on the brush.
It was a little more on the sheer side than I usually like- I would probably use it over undies next time to avoid VNL. I didn’t want to go with a fourth coat, especially with the formula being a little on the thick side.
Anne Kathleen Kiera is a sparkly gold polish. This one really reminds me of OPI Goldeneye, which is one of my favorite golds, so I love love love Kiera! Such an insane shimmery gold!
Photos show two coats with topcoat. Formula was good, easy to apply.
Anne Kathleen Tigris is a gold-green shimmery, sheer polish. Photos show two coats with topcoat.
Formula was good, a tad bit on the thick side but still easy to work with. This is really pretty!
Overall, a great collection and totally in the spirit of the holiday! This collection can be found (along with previous collections) at her website here and will retail for $10 each. Anne Kathleen is 5-free, cruelty free, and the majority of her polish is also vegan.
Which of these shades is your favorite? Got any fun plan’s for St. Patrick’s Day? Let me know in the comments!
