Hi, everyone! Today I’ve got a post I’m really excited about to share with you- Zoya’s Awaken Collection! I’ve been really excited about these beautiful spring shades ever since they released the press release.
This set consists of Dillon, Rebel, Hudson, Dot, Cole, Brooklyn & Monet. I used three coats & a top coat of Out The Door in the below photos with the exception of Brooklyn, Rebel and Hudson which were only two coats. Monet was just one coat on top of the base colors. There’s a lot to get through so let’s get started!
Zoya Dillon is described as a green mint shimmer metallic. This shade is incredibly beautiful, photos just don’t do it justice! The formula was fantastic, easy to apply and not too thick or thin.
Edit: I’ve been asked by a couple of people how similar Dillon is to Zuza. Zuza is a bit darker and more blue, and the flecks are maybe a tiny bit bigger (that could just be my eyes straining to tell the difference!), definitely close but not dupes. Here’s Zuza on the top, Dillon on the bottom:
Zoya Rebel is described as a blue sky shimmer metallic. Formula similar to Dillon, this is an incredibly gorgeous shade!
Zoya Hudson is described as a purple orchid shimmer metallic. Again, similar formula to Dillon & Rebel, I’m a huge fan of purple and this little beauty did not disappoint!
Zoya Dot is a pink petal cream. This was a bit streaky on the first two coats but evened out by the third. The formula was just a tad on the thin side so just take care not to flood your cuticle. This is such a soft, delicate pink, perfect for spring!
Zoya Cole is described as a peach whisper cream. The formula was similar to Dot and I also had to use three coats on this one as well. I’m not usually a huge orange fan but this is actually a pretty flattering shade!
Zoya Brooklyn is described as a white-gold shimmer metallic. The formula was easy to apply but does definitely show brushstrokes like a lot of metallics.
Zoya Monet is described as a multicolored, cellophane holographic special edition topper. The formula was a bit on the thick, gluey side. Still workable but takes a little special care. It looks best over cremes, here I’ve got it shown over Dot & Cole:
That’s it, folks! These retail for $10.00 (Monet) and $9.00 (all others) and are available now. Overall a really strong collection from Zoya (not surprising, their releases are usually top notch!), unique and wearable and very much in the spirit of spring. I can’t wait to see what they come out with next. You can find Zoya at their website here, be sure to like them on facebook as well to keep with their new updates!
What do you think about this collection? Anything you’re going to pick up?
