Hey, everyone! So, a little over a month ago I did my review on the first three bath bombs I purchased from KBShimmer. That review goes way more in depth as far as my review on the bath bombs as a whole, so I’d recommend reading that first if you haven’t already, I had the same thoughts/complaints about these. So this will be just a short quick post about the performance of the other 4 bath bombs that I purchased.
First up is Lavender. KBShimmer describes this one as:
A classic scent, Lavender is a light, crisp floral that both men on women love. Slip into the tub, pop a lavender bath bomb in, and let the soothing scent and warm waters ease your mind and relax your spirit. When done, dry off with your favorite fluffy towel, and enjoy rich feel left by the butters and oils. Lavender is a scent that anyone can enjoy and is a staple in my bath.
This one definitely had a nice, strong lavender scent that hung around for awhile, which was nice. It didn’t dye the water at all and I didn’t feel any oils or anything in the water itself, this was just all scent to me.
Next is Southern Belle:
A soft peach is set off by white speckles and pink and orange colored salts.
This one dyed the water just slightly and similar to Lavender didn’t seem to do much to the water other than scent it. However, the scent was very very pleasant and lasted a good long time. I could immediately smell the peaches and orange blossom very strongly, that was quite nice.
Next on the list is Lemongrass:
Pure lemongrass essential oils will brighten your day with its fresh, clean smell. Pop one in the tub, and let this sweet treat whisk you away.
This dyed the water just slightly yellow, very subtle. Immediately there was a strong lemon & citrus scent which was very pleasant. The scent did become more subtle after a little bit but then hung around for awhile, which was nice. Again, no other effects really other than the scent. And once again, a major complaint of mine surfaced about the shrink wrap, same as in the last post. It was just too tight & there was not enough of a raised part to make it easy to cut and get the bomb out. You can see in the photo this one nearly broke again just getting it out from the package like the one in the last post.
And lastly is Lilac, described as:
Spring is in the air, flowers are blooming, dew shimmers on fresh green leaves, and a gentle breeze lifts the scents of lilacs through open windows. Take a deep breath and enjoy the same scent in your own tub year round. One of the truest lilac scents I have come across, this bath bomb is heaven in purple!
Lilac tinted the water just very slightly. The scent was very pleasant, fresh and like a nice flower garden, the lilac scent was very strong as well. I really enjoyed this scent the most. Unfortunately it didn’t last very long but it was nice while it did. Another small gripe is that while the purple crystals on top make it look cute, they were immediately crumbling off as soon as I opened this bomb which kinda sucked, they got everywhere before I even got the bomb into the bath!
So, that’s all. Overall, I probably would not repurchase for the reasons detailed in the last post- I’d rather spend more money and use a bomb less often but have a better experience than to purchase these again and have just a lackluster one. Again, this is just my personal opinion and a couple people in the comments section of the last post made some good points about who would enjoy these bath bombs!
