Storyteller purchased by me. Christmas Cheer & Ice Flowers were provided for review.
Hey, everyone! So, I have wanted to order from Painted Sabotage for the absolute longest time! However, I was lemming after a particular color the most, and until recently it had been out of stock. When she restocked I finally picked up Moon Jelly along with Angel Wings and Storyteller! She was also kind enough to send me Christmas Cheer, Ice Flowers & Gargle Blaster! They were all really great, so I’m going to share some swatches with you of these beauties! I’ll be sharing the first three today and the other three next friday, so make sure to take a look! Stay tuned to the end of the entry for a link to her giveaway also!
Let’s get started with Storyteller! Painted Sabotage describes this shade as:
Have you ever looked at something and it reminded you of something else?, well that’s how Storyteller was named! I asked my friends to help me name this beauty, they came up with great unique names but none of them hit the mark. But I looked deeper into their ideas, how each idea had a thought or “story” behind it. Later, as I was looking at the polish I suddenly realized how it reminded me of an old leather bound book just waiting to be read. And now its ready to be shared with everyone!
Storyteller is a neutral polish with different shades and sizes of light and dark brown and copper glitters.
I used two coats for the below photos with a coat of Seche Vite on top! Pictures seriously don’t do this polish justice, I was blown away by how beautiful this polish was in person!
Next up is Holiday Cheer! Painted Sabotage describes it as:
Holiday Cheer has a cornucopia of joyful holiday colors – so many that its difficult to remember them all! Depending on what color you wear it over you will see a totally different look! You will find red, green, blue, orange, fuchsia and gold and silver holographic stars with a touch of bronze and copper tinsel glitters. Layer it over your favorite colors!! One coat will add a little sparkle or pile on the layers to make a gorgeous glitter bomb!
I decided to play it safe on holiday colors and used Zoya Sookie as the base for the non-accent nails and Zoya Hunter for the accent nail. I then used one coat of Holiday Cheer on all nails for the below photos with a coat of Out The Door on top! The formula was great, I didn’t have to fish for the stars that I did get on the nail. As with any glitter with larger/shaped glitters I did turn the bottle upside down for a bit before applying.
Last but not least is Ice Flowers! Painted Sabotage describes this as:
Ice Flowers is the perfect snowy winter polish. With it’s collection of different size white and periwinkle blue glitters surrounded by a light wintery blue base with a hint of shimmer.
Great color for layering or on its own.
I used three coats for the below photos with a coat of Seche Vite on top! You could probably get away with two coats in person but three were needed under the intense lights here. The formula was great, I had thought I might have to fish for the larger glitters but I almost had the problem of getting too many of them! They were very well suspended and spread easily.
