Hey, everyone! So, I previously detailed my obsession with the Hunger Games in this post, so I won’t rehash that all here, but of course you know I had to do some themed nails for when I went to see Catching Fire!! It was my favorite book from the three so it’s really excited it’s finally out! I’m writing this post from the past, so I’ll have seen the movie last night by the time this goes up and I’m really excited!
EDIT: Just got home from seeing it! No spoilers, but it was amazing. I had just re-read the book wednesday and I have no complaints, it was incredibly faithful! There were a few minor changes but they all made sense and didn’t detract from the story like the first movie’s changes kind of did. The added scenes were great. All the new actors did amazing jobs, Johanna especially, I was kinda bummed at her casting but she turned my mind around, Finnick too although I still think his hair was fug, haha. Our theatre Cinebistro was really great, too! Gave us Mockingjay pins, had themed drink specials (I got the Rue’s devotion! I wanted the Girl on Fire but I can’t handle fireball, haha) and the employees dressed as capital citizens with the manager as Seneca Crane! They also held a raffle after the credits for a replica bow, posters, mug, etc. I didn’t win but that’s okay, I won a catching fire poster from them a couple months ago on twitter. 🙂 They also had signs up for each theatre so instead of theatre 7 we were in district 7, haha! It was a great experience.

Anyways, for the nails I started with a base of Zoya Creamy on each finger. I did a sponge gradient using China Glaze Riveting & Zoya Blaze. I used the Konad Black polish to stamp from the following plates:
Index- Moyou London Suki 08
Middle & Pinkie- Messy Mansion MM14
Ring- Mash 48
And after, I painted the 12 using gold acrylic paint & finished everything up with a coat of Seche Vite!
What do you think? Have you seen the movie yet?
