Hey, everyone! First off, my Messy Mansion MM14 giveaway ends tonight at midnight, so don’t forget to enter if you haven’t yet! (And if you have, don’t forget there are some entries that can be done daily as well!)

So a couple of weeks ago I won pink & polished’s giveaway! I was just a bit disappointed, the giveaway said one of the prizes was Layla Ocean Rush, which I had been lemming for a looong time so I was SUPER excited when I won but when the prize came it contained Jade Groove instead. I guess she made a mistake in the entry. I emailed her on the 5th but never got a response. Oh well, I’m still glad to have won anything at all. One day Ocean Rush shall be mine!

One of the prizes were these awesome individual glitters, so I decided to try them out. At first I couldn’t quite figure out how to place them, I heard you can pick them up easily with a wax pencil but I did not have one of those! I finally read somewhere else that you can dip a dotting tool in water and it works, which it totally did!

I started with two coats of Indigo Bananas Fiery The Angels Fell on all fingers. Then on the non-accent nails I sponged a little bit of China Glaze Riveting at the tips. It turned out pretty subtle but I liked it! I then used the Messy Mansion MM21 plate to stamp on the dragon scales with Konad’s black polish. I placed the glitters on the ring finger by first applying a coat of Seche Vite and then alternating which color I picked up, trying to kind of overlap them a bit to look like scales. I finished each nail off with a coat of Seche Vite. I really liked how it turned out!

I also made a .gif to show the sparkle! Probably not the best website as it turned out pretty small. 🙁

What do you guys think? I really love the effect the glitter gives and I plan to use it in future manicures as well!
