Today I have a success to share with you!! My first successful gradient!! I am so happy it turned out well, although I still need to buy a set of better/more porous sponges and try with some harder to blend colors, but I’m still pretty happy.
Okay, getting a little ahead of myself there. Let’s take a look at the process of today’s manicure. For the accent nail I used a base of OPI Alpine Snow and sponged on a combination of Alpine Snow, OPI You’re Such A Budapest & OPI Do You Lilac It? I then painted the other nails with Do You Lilac It?, which applies so beautifully. I am really a fan of OPI’s cremes- some can be a little thin at times, but they apply really easily, self-level well and wear very well with thin coats, at least on me.
At this point, we had this:
Although it looked nice like this, I decided it needed a little bit more oomph and sponged a combination of Wet N Wild Kaleidoscope & Revlon Stunning on the tips. Finally, I sealed everything in with a coat of Seche Vite.
What do you think? I’m a little bit of a sucker for purple. What nail polish color can’t you get enough of?
