Hey, everyone! Today I have an awesome couple of polishes to share with you from Chaos & Crocodiles! This was my first time ordering from her and I am very impressed. Fireside Nights was a lemming of mine and while I was stalking the re-stock on a whim I decided to pick up Narwhals Are Unicorns Too and I am so glad that I did, they are both beautiful. Originally I was worried I wouldn’t even get Fireside Nights, she had not announced it on the restock list but I (and I think a few others, too!) begged on twitter and so she put a few bottles up. Score!
The formula on both of these polishes was awesome, they applied very smoothly. Let’s get started first with Fireside Nights! Fireside Nights is a glitter-packed clear topper packed with an amazing amount different sized circle glitter in gold and red. No fishing required to get this on the brush. The amount of glitter in this polish is crazy, the photos shown below are just one thick coat over one coat of Revlon Stilleto. As usual, I also applied one coat of Seche Vite on top.
I also applied this on a swatch wheel over different bases just to see the difference. From L-R it is China Glaze Riveting, China Glaze Harvest Moon, OPI Goldeneye, China Glaze Red Satin & OPI Malaga Wine. Although I think I like it over black the best, I really like how it looks over the red shades too.
Next up is Narwhals Are Unicorns Too. Narwhals has a light robin blue base with varying sizes of a darker blue and gold glitter. The photos shown below are of three coats with one coat of Seche Vite on top. It was opaque at two coats but I hadn’t caught any of the larger glitters by that time, so I tried really scraping the sides with the brush on the final coat. I think I need to scrape some of the glitter off the side with a paper clip or something. (EDIT: Talk about great customer service, Sarey saw this post and offered to send me a bag of the larger glitters in case I was still having trouble getting them out. Really impressive!)
Overall I was really impressed with this brand and likely will be ordering more in the future. If you want some Chaos & Crocodiles of your own, she can be found on her website here or you can like her on facebook here for details about upcoming restocks.
