I will be sharing some of my favorite recipes from my favorite youtuber, divascancook! I have just started learning to cook this year, and after trying & succeeding with a few standard family recipes, I wanted to venture out to try new things. Unfortunately I didn’t really research much to find recipes that had comments, and made quite a couple of gross recipes (that my darling boyfriend & nice roommate still ate!!). I was kind of disheartened at trying any other recipes that weren’t my mom’s (which I knew were good, some of which I will share soon!!) when I came upon her youtube channel. Each thing I have tried so far has been so delicious!!
This pizza dip has already been a hit the few times I have made it. Unfortunately it’s also how I learned how crappy my 10$ walmart bread knife was and the importance of knife safety!!
Don’t judge my chipped polish- if I had known I’d slice open my finger and stop to take a picture before bandaging it up (I know, I know) I would have made sure to get a fresh mani!!
These cheesy chicken pasta shells were also pretty good. I should have cut the ingredients a bit smaller, though- after an hour of prep time in the kitchen I was just ready to get it in the oven. The saddest part was while making it I forgot that I had purchased a food processor the week before and could have utilized it for a lot of the work! At least my roommate and I had fun the next day testing it out with a ton of leftover veggies.
|Sidenote- I need a bigger pot.|
The next two recipes were quite similar- red velvet cupcakes & devil’s food cake. Both included coffee & came out incredibly moist & delicious. These were also my first experiences using a piping bag, which I kind of suck at but at least a couple came out looking cute.
