Girly Bits What Happens In Vegas...Ends Up On Facebook, Get Weaponized, Bird Is The Word & Man Size Love Swatches

Girly Bits What Happens In Vegas...Ends Up On Facebook, Get Weaponized, Bird Is The Word & Man Size Love Swatches

Girly Bits is a brand I've been dying to try out for a very long time and lamenting my lack of funds to be able to do so. Those of you who follow me on facebook know that recently I won a bet with my boyfriend about what time his sister's baby would be born- and the wager was polish! I decided to take that opportunity to try out a new brand and picked up three shades from her recent restock- What Happens In Vegas...Ends Up On Facebook, Get Weaponized & Man Size Love.

Around the same time, the lovely Cassandra of Sweet Heart Polish sent me a gift package that included another Girly Bits shade- Bird Is The Word! She really is such a sweetheart, isn't she? The formula on all of these was wonderful- thick enough that they apply easily with no/minimal cleanup but not too thick. I used Out The Door top coat for all of the photos. Let's take a look!

This was originally created for the bloggers who attended the 2013 Cosmoprof event. Two coats.

ZOYA Fall 2014 ULTRA PIXIEDUST Collection Swatches & Review

ZOYA Fall 2014 ULTRA PIXIEDUST Collection Swatches & Review

Press Sample

As you guys know, Zoya is my favorite commercial brand and Fall/Winter are my favorite beauty seasons (well, and favorite seasons in general). I was quite happy with their Entice & Ignite collections and very excited when the press release for the new Fall Ultra Pixiedust collection was released.

ZOYA Fall 2014 ULTRA PIXIEDUST Collection Swatches & Review

Everyone was pretty curious about what the difference was going to be between a magical pixie dust, the regular pixie dusts and these 'ultra' pixie dusts. These are almost like a combination of the previous two- they include hex glitter and are more textured than the regular pixie dusts, but those glitters are not holo like the magical pixie dusts. This was kind of a bummer for me as I LOVED how blingy and sparkly the magical pixie dusts were, but I know that a lot of people were wanting something closer to the original pixie dust line.

This collection consists of three shades- Noir, Arianna & Oswin. I used two coats for the photos below, and have them shown both with their natural finish & glossy (with Gelous + Out The Door). The formula on these was very easy to apply, not too thick or thin (Noir was a bit thicker than the other two but still easy to apply) and they dried down quickly. They all look pretty similar in the bottle but are fairly different on the nail. Let's take a look!

Zoya Noir is described as a deep vampy plum, textured PixieDust with red Mega Hex Particles

Overall, I think if you liked the original pixies and were not so into the magical ones, you will probably like these. For me...maybe they will grow on me but they are too much texture and not enough sparkle for my personal tastes. I also wish there was a bit more color variety within these but at the same time, there's a good red here for each skin tone & I'm sure they'll probably expand on this line in future collections.
